We have two children’s choirs: the Mini Melodies, consisting of toddlers (age 2) through second grade, and the Junior Jammers, consisting of third graders to sixth graders. The choirs alternate singing on the fourth Sunday of each month in the morning worship service.
KIDS (Kids in Divine Service) Church takes place on the first Sunday of each month. Children from kindergarten to sixth grade come together for a time of fun and worship.
Vacation Bible School is a summertime activity that usually takes place in July. Children enjoy crafts, singing, and fun while learning Bible stories and principles. The VBS choir performs on the Sunday following the week of VBS.
Our young ladies, ages five through eleven, are in a group called the “DOVES.” They meet once a month for field trips, volunteer fun, or crafts, and talk about etiquette and other things pertaining to growing young ladies. The biggest event last year was a fashion show!
Our young men are the “EAGLES.” They meet once a month and have a great time learning and fellowshipping.
Every Wednesday evening the children meet for Children’s Church. It is a time of fun-packed Bible teaching for ages 4-12 (not in seventh grade) using varied types of music, visuals, and hands-on learning styles.
Junior Bible Quizzing is an exciting activity that requires commitment and self-discipline. Our juniors get together to study and memorize portions of Scripture. They practice quizzing strategies with each other and also compete once a month with other churches in the Missouri District. Two of our teams have gone all the way to national competition. We are very proud of their efforts.
Every other year our K-sixth grade children perform a Christmas musical that is always enjoyed by relatives and friends. As they worship God, our children learn the skills of speaking and singing to audiences.
The Majesticks are a group of senior high students whose choreographed performances with dowel rods tell the story of the song being played. They are indeed a blessing and inspiration to all.
